Stormforce is a unique and extraordinary new force in dance spectacle, a fusion of two of the most popular genres in the world, Irish and African dance and music. Combining the rhythms of Irish tap shoes with African drums and voices along with the smells of West African coconuts and blossom and the green grass of the Emerald Isle, Stormforce generates a show of immense power and excitement.Stormforce tells the story of a fight to save Mother Earth from Chaos, a metaphor for the impending environmental destruction of our planet. Chaos covets Earth's energy source, symbolised by a giant crystal and only Mother Earth, an African healer and Earth Spirits can save us from destruction. The show culminates in a battle royal for the crystal, with the ultimate message, If we are to survive, our rhythms must unite.The immense appeal of traditional Irish feet and of African drums and calling are juxtaposed and eventually fused in a thrilling finale using highly original dance steps and the different rhythms: this show is loud and powerful and aims to leave audiences exhilarated and uplifted.
